·         Resizing, rotating, and skewing designs to fit shapes

·         Tools and navigation · Working with multiple designs

·         Discuss program updates · Placing borders with corners

·         Working with designs: importing, savings, buying/downloading

·         Chunking borders 

·         Using the Record feature

·         Setting area, creating, edge-to-edge designs

·         Using the Mark feature

·         Creating nested edge-to-edge designs

·         Using the Move feature

·         Wrapping and Off-setting edge-to-edge designs

·         Using New Start and End feature

·         Drag and drop method for advancing quilt

·         Discuss machine settings, stitch lengths, speeds

·         Cropping inside, outside, and in-between

·         Determining stitch order

Day one:  Introduction to Art and Stitch

Day two: Moving on with Art and Stitch

Expand your quilting creativity! 

In this hands-on class you will learn to use the wide variety of Art and Stitch tools.  You don’t need to be able to draw to create in Art and Stitch; you need only be able to use a mouse. Come to class with the latest versions of Art and Stitch and Pro-Stitcher Simulator installed on your laptop, and bring a wired mouse. We’ll study the following, and more:

·         Create your own designs

·         Cross hatching

·         Modify existing designs

·         Creative fills

·         Transfer designs to Pro-Stitcher
